Chester Music Society Choir and Youth Choir perform Britten's St Nicholas and give a world premier of Phillip Cooke's Noah's Fire written for the society to celebrate its 70th anniversary. This new work, using the combined forces of the Society' choirs together with the Cathedral choristers, tells the story of a Chester Guild preparing to present the story of Noah for the Chester Medieval Mystery Plays when disaster strikes and the set is destroyed by fire.
